SIP Client SDK (sipXtapi) |
sipXtapi is a very comprehensive and fully featured SIP client SDK. It runs on Linux, Windows as well as Mac OS X. Among its features are full voice and video support, NAT traversal (STUN & ICE), as well as a good media processing framework. AOL's Triton client relies on sipXtapi for its voice and video capabilities, so does Earthlink's Vling client. |

Paging Server ProjectA paging server is needed to allow the definition of page groups including several devices such as phones or in-ceiling speakers for paging services.
Back-to-back User Agent (B2BUA) ProjectA B2BUA is needed for the sipX pbx to be able to register with SIP service providers that can only provide a user interface. Bob Andreasen has initiated this project.
sipXtapi Video and Additional Codec Support ProjectThis project aims at adding video support to sipXtapi. In addition the project team plans adding additional codecs while removing the remaining references to the GIPS library. A special branch was created in support of this effort maintained by Alexander Chemeris. N.B. This project is now put on hold. All audio improvements, implemented during this project are now merged with usual sipXtapi branch. Video support is working in sipXtapi-media-update branch, but was not merged to sipXtapi branch. We would appreciate your help in merging video support to sipXtapi branch to make sipXtapi the most featured open-spurce VoIP library.
Boston Bridge Project: A Conferencing Server for sipXThis project started as a joint coding party between the reSIProcate and sipX teams. The implementation is based on the reSIProcate SIP stack an the sipXtapi media framework. A configuration interface exists in the sipX configuration server (currently disabled). Note: The Boston Bridge project was put on hold. Given significant progress on the sipXtapi side it is believed that a conference server would be implemented using sipXtapi and not the reSIProacte SIP stack as originally comtemplated in the Boston Bridge project. If you are interested in developing a Conference Server based on sipXtapi, please let us know.
